Biography:

Gerald is a fourth-year doctoral student in Social Psychology. His research investigates how representations (e.g., in media, history) shape self and identity from an intragroup perspective and can shape perceptions of others from an intergroup perspective. Using a cultural and intersectional lens, he seeks to leverage these representations in high-school and college contexts to increase sense of academic fit for historically underrepresented groups.
